Nothing much to say, really; I've been in a bit of a rut lately.  I woke up this morning and finally decided to get off my ass and write something, but as with all my other projects it's coming along slowly.  As most of my previous projects have focused on original concepts, I think this time I'll try my hand at a bit of fanfiction, centered around one of my current obsessions; The New X-Men/X-Academy story-line. While I grew up reading the "old school" marvel - Uncanny X-Men and Excaliber, mostly - and have more-or-less abstained from keeping abreast of the Marvel Universe about the same time that Wolverine had his metal-plating ripped out

So today I learned that a friend in the IRC channel I frequent was a victim of an "acute physiological insult" - as I've heard in called in some of the way-too-PC-to-take-seriously circles I run with - and that has me pissed.  Too pissed to right coherently without running afoul of many people's sense of decency, that is.  I may be back to update this space for those that care; or I may not.  Depends if I calm down enough by morning.
